All I want for Christmas is a Chiefs defense.

Well now who says we don't have a defense? We have one! Miami had the No-Name Defense. Pittsburgh had the Steel Curtain. Minnesota had the Purple People Eaters. Denver had the Orange Crush. Now, the 2002 Kansas City Chiefs have the 'Courtesy Crew'. That's courtesy, as in 'oh, hello Mr. Offensive Player! Where are you headed this fine afternoon? The end zone? What a fine idea! Would you mind if I were to accompany you? I promise not to tackle you, as that would be quite ungentlemanly. In fact, I'll just jog along ten yards behind you, just to provide motivation for you to finish your journey.' Their momma's really taught those boys right, and since Greg Robinson is a 'mother', it seems fitting that they'd be perfectly capable of following this gawdawful crap we have masquerading as a defense. It's nice to have an offense capable of putting up that many points every week. It bites knowing your offense NEEDS to put up that many points every week just to remain competitive. Last week I backed off my 'Robinson Must Go' mantra (if my posts even show up anywhere outside my own ISP, that is). Not so this week. He's got to go. I know it's not common to fire coordinators midseason, as it's a pain to learn a new scheme without the preseason to practice it. But hey, we could use the same plays if we had a coordinator who, oh, say, could possibly find 'a pair'! Hell, borrow some from someone else if you have to. Just show SOME aggression! As often as the defense is laying back and letting the opposition have their way with us, we really need to keep an eye out for vice cops. Oh well. At least we came away with a 'W'.

2 sacks and 2 tackles by John Browning, who, I presume, was starting at DT next to Sims. Good sign when an interior lineman makes the ESPN stats.

I don't think the Jets are all that on offense this year, but it's a good sign that they scored 'only' 22. Perhaps it's the beginning of a trend.

Problem is the 25 pts they did give up is only about 40% more than the Jets average for the season. Overall the Chiefs D is giving up 20% more than their opponents average.

Hey, I'm new here too. My experience was that this group is very friendly. I only got a few emails urging me to ignore this John O guy.

Well, the group says that I've said too much, so, um, Go Chiefs!

Why don't you just wait until next year and pick up Baltimore's off
