Tremendous distribution of passes. The 29 receptions were split among 7 different receivers. 14 to the WRs, 7 to Tony, and 7 to Holmes, 1 to Richardson. Green seems to be getting much better, calming a lot of my early season fears about him not go to secondary targets. Really a great job.

I also can't help but think that the only reason the running game doesn't produce gaudy numbers is that they choose to go to the air. I think as soon as you see future teams putting more pressure on the receivers, Holmes is going to start having 150-200 yard games.

Very good observation, I think. Green's touch today seemed pretty good (I really only saw the last drive, but man what a beautiful touchdown throw). And Cleveland was supposed to have a solid secondary.

I think your final paragraph is dead-on. The defenses we face are focused on stopping Priest, so we've gone up top to beat them. It just so happens that we have a quarterback and capable receivers who can do that. If they swing back to trying to stop the pass, we'll go back to Priest. Miami is a good example of what happens when you have a top- notch running back, teams focus on stopping him, and you have nothing else to go to. The balance of this Chiefs team is what has them 9-0, not domination in any one area. I honestly cannot remember a Chiefs team this balanced. We've had great defenses, decent running, and no receiving to speak of. We've had decent receiving, no running, and an okay defense. We've had teams where nothing worked. But this team has, thus far, put it together in all phases. That is what makes it difficult to game-plan against the Chiefs, and why we *should* go far into the playoffs, if not all the way. (Note I say *should* because I still have visions of that sugar-plum Linn Elliot dancing in my head... ugh.)

Mine's even worse, John. Whenever I'm getting overconfident about the Chiefs, my sugar-plum memories are of that damned Garo Yepremian, the deathly quiet Municipal Stadium, and the really long walk to the car.

You're lucky you were able to see the game. I'm a Chiefs fan in Atlanta and had to endure the Falcons/Giants game but at least the Falcons won. The Falcons could have beat the Clowns today the way they looked or maybe it was just that the Giants were extra pathetic. Great day anyway. Dolts lose. Chiefs win. Tenn puts a whip on Miami's ass. Looks like a Tennessee and Kansas City showdown come playoffs, hopefully in Arrowhead.

Up until today, they have. And they have faced some pretty lethal passer-receiver combos. So stick your north bound nose up your south bound ass.

To the decent Chiefs fans, good luck. The Chiefs look unbeatable. Too many weapons to account for. The only way you'll lose this year is if the Chiefs have an off day and the opposition plays over their heads.

Garo Yepremian... 32 years later, the name still gives me the heebie-jeebies. The Chiefs NEED to go undefeated and eclipse the '72 Fish. Justice must be served! Retribution must be had!

I'm sure we'll rely on the running game more in the cold weather, too. And what's nice is that Priest should be relatively fresh then.

I'm not sure just how it'll shape up, other than the KC offense has the balance and the resolve to attack at the weakest point. Nice thing to see is a level of execution that's high enough in all areas to capitalize.

Titans are the team to watch.
